Why G5 Massage machines ?
My Names Brent Verco and I’m a chiropractor working at Mullum Integral Health. My background before I became a Chiropractor was Deep Tissue Massage Therapy.
Once I started Chiropractic I incorporated many Massage and trigger point techniques into my treatments and was happy with the results of both spinal adjustments and soft tissue work.
However my body wasn’t. I was getting very tired and started to develop the very type of injuries I was trying to prevent in my patients !
If your a practitioner I’m sure you can relate to how exhausted you get after a full days work doing soft tissue releases. Yet the pressure of modern Practice dictate that if your not having a busy day your probably not earning enough to cover your costs let alone try and make a reasonable living.
It was always hard to turn people in pain (and their money ! ) away because I was not able to physically treat any more patients in a day and still guarantee good results.
I had tried other massage machines before but they always felt like a modified orbital sander and delivered disappointing results. They were also heavy and bulky and only usually came with one or 2 treatment heads that lacked the versatility to be really beneficial clinically.
Then I tried the G5.
The first big advantage is that through the use of a flexible drive shaft they are able to use a much more powerful motor than the orbital sander competition so you can finally get a machine with the muscle to really get into those trigger points and hyper tonic muscles, even on front row professional footballers !
The second advantage is that it is very specific. Because the applicator is very light and small you can manovure it into places other machines can’t reach like in under the scapula and even intersegmentaly in the cervical spine.
The Third advantage is the range of applicator heads available. This means that you have a tool kit of various style heads to suit different shaped body parts and people. Finally I had a tool that was strong, light to hold and versatile in it’s application.
But the best thing about the G5 is your patients and clients love it. I was nervous at first to change styles but the constant feedback from my clients was that the G5 was able to release very old adhesions in a very gentle and effective way and they very much enjoyed it as a treatment modality.
The G5 is not a replacement for soft tissue work entirely, however it does allow you to complement some of the techniques and stretches that you use in your clinic already with a powerful tool that gets results much faster than using your hands alone.
I am so happy that the G5 machine was able to increase my patient volume without taking an increased toll on my body that I decided to import them into Australia.
